Tom Brokaw - Clock Nazi
"Tom Brokaw played Clock Nazi the whole night, enforcing time limits just when the candidates started to really debate."

Boston Globe Editorial: Reality intrudes and McCain buckles

http://www.boston.com/bostonglobe/editorial_opinion/oped/articles/2008/10/09/reality_intrudes_and_mccain_buckles/

Other Snippets:

McCain quickly left the stage, grasping the reality of his predicament.
...

Presidential stature. Obama conducted himself with cool and calm during the bailout crisis, just as he did in Tuesday's debate. In short, he looks presidential. We haven't had one in so long I forgot what a president looks like.
...

Wall Street was a presidential test and McCain flunked. When the Wall Street crisis hit, John McCain looked dazed and confused and, yes, old. His clueless initial response - saying the fundamentals of the economy are strong - cost him credibility at a crucial moment.
...

Tuesday's debate was boring - except McCain calling Obama "that one" probably got the attention of black voters.
...

CNN's post-debate poll showed 54 percent of those who had watched felt Obama won; 30 percent said McCain. CBS had it 40-26 percent Obama. Those polls understated Obama's command of the evening.

3. He tried his best to keep Obama from correcting the lies told by McCain.

Did you notice how he'd give McCain two questions in a row after McCain told a whole bunch of lies when answering his first question? And then Brokaw acted offended when Obama wanted to set the record straight. Brokaw was a disgrace.

4. yeah, that was weird...
I wasn't paying complete attention, but I did think he was unfairly giving more questions to McCain. However, he wasn't exactly doing McCain a favor by having Mccain talk more ;)
