When will Rep Party leaders go to McCain and tell him to clean up his campaign.
He is guaranteeing that they are going to lose the maximum number of House and Senate seats on the coattails of an Obama tsunami.
I am amazed that they are allowing this to continue. This is the worst run campaign in recent history - at least since the 1992 Bush reelection campaign.

2. They won't - they are already shifting money away from him.
Now it's all about whipping their base into a frenzy and sowing fear and dissent through the voting populace. They want to make sure that they scorch the earth if they lose and keep their base intact for Palin's 2012 Presidential run with Mittens Romney.

9. Evidently the RNC has $$ issues of their own.... (link)
This is on another post as well, but is worth spreading.......

http://southernstudies.org/facingsouth/2008/10/investigation-how-did-republicans-get-8.asp

FACING SOUTH INVESTIGATION: How did Republicans get an $8 million bailout from failing Wachovia?
Wachovia Corp., a once-thriving financial giant now teetering on the brink of collapse, confirmed today that it was extending an $8 million loan to the cash-strapped National Republican Congressional Committee for last-minute activities to support GOP House candidates.

Wachovia's decision to lend money to the NRCC -- itself reeling from a damaging financial scandal earlier this year -- is sure to draw charges of favoritism, as Wachovia denies credit and freezes assets for thousands of other customers.

Allegations of favoritism are especially delicate for Wachovia, given the disproportionate support of Republican campaigns and organizations by the company's leadership.

What's more, Wachovia's loan to the NRCC comes as Wachovia awaits the outcome of precarious buyout negotiations which have relied on federal backing -- inviting questions over the political activities of companies whose survival depend on public support.

3. They won't.
The RNC is in denial too--they thought that the reason they lost in 2006 is not because they were too right-wing, but because they weren't crazy right-wing enough.

6. McCain is working up a base of hate so if/when they can trump up charges
They will go for an impeachment of Obama. Expect the same thing we had during the Clinton years - endless investigations that result in no findings of wrong doing. Then create a charge out of something that is not a real crime, but work up their people to such a frenzy of hate it carries even moderates along.

They will have a very hard time doing this with Obama, but I suspect they will try.

7. LOL. See the main issue is not McCain or even Bush it is the party itself
controlled by inept corrupt special interests that use these idiots as vessels.

10. Are you friggin' kidding me? Rep Party Leaders are ENCOURAGING this shit
They've thrown McCain under the bus and know the only way they stand any chance of keeping the filibuster in the Senate is for McCain to go super negative.

McCain will lose, but it fires up enough of the base to keep the close Senate races in their column.

11. I thought I'd see a bunch of ROFL icons in your post.
He's just doing the ultimate Gingrich Rove plan. The Republicans have ten million fewer voters in the USA so they push their fake culture war which has worked well in the past.

Here's Newt's classic about how they should play the game. Positive words about your party and "Contrast" words about your opponents. Smear baby Smear.
