Beneath our hope and confidence lurks a note of fear.
At least that appears to be true for a lot of us. And it's understandable. We've seen all kinds of despicable tactics from the repukes. We've seen all kinds of illegal shenanigans. We've seen candidates that didn't seem to know what they were up against and how to fight it. We've seen a complicit media. We've seen our hopes crushed and our fear realized in two consecutive presidential elections.

But when I feel a whisp of dread curling inside me, I remind myself that this is a candidate that does know what he's fighting, that this is a campaign that's pro-active, not merely reactive, and that this is a very different environment than that of 4 or 8 years ago.

The prospect of what the next 3+ weeks holds, as far as repuke dirty tricks goes, is not an appealing one. I admit it makes me slightly nauseous. But having watched the Obama campaign for a year and a half, I gotta believe that they're prepared for anything and everything.

GOBAMA.

2. I've got the champers in the fridge
My dearest friends all have some in theirs. We've got fireworks and we've even started building a big pile of brush and stuff for a bonfire to sympolize the burning away of the last 8 years and our hopes for the coming years.

3. "I gotta believe that they're prepared for anything and everything."
But, don't forget that Obama always says we have to do some of the work too.

The question isn't are they (the Obama campaign) prepared. The question is are we?

If there is proof of election fraud, what are we going to do about it?

4. I don't know what we can do. The Obama campaign is the one with
the lawyers and the megaphone. I do worry about election fraud in states like Ohio. I have to hope that the dem SoS and the Obama campaign know what to do. I mean seriously, what do you think we can do about signs of election fraud?

8. "I don't know what we can do."
Vote and protest if there are problems.

That's plenty.

We have to make ourselves seen and heard.

5. I'm concerned, because they are lying, dishonorable, unpatriotic, fascist THEIVES
who have already proven they are not beneath STEALING a national election. I'm concerned because there is a very real, very loud, very scary faction in the right who pose an actual PHYSICAL threat to our candidate because of his party, his race, his middle name, his charisma, his vision. We have reason to be concerned.... but it's not because our candidate won't be the legitimate popular vote and electoral winner. It's because THEY are so dishonorable, SO evil, they pose a real THREAT to this nation and to the soon President-elect Obama.

9. That applies to me.
I'm not doing any celebrating, or even feeling comfortable, until Nov 5.

I still remember how I felt in 2004.

14. I'm worried that wedge issues and race will matter too much.
I'm not worried about the Obama campaign. I am worried about my fellow Americans in the privacy of the voting booth. I think the country has changed enough in four years, but I am not certain.
