6. FUCK YEAH! That means way more people saw Obama wipe the floor with McCain last night.
Not that last time was a tie either--but this time it wasn't even close.

8. Nielson, among others.
They use a large enough sample size to get reliable numbers, and can estimate for the population.

7. Wow - I sure didn't see that one coming!
I guessed viewership would be down. Now I wonder about debate number three... will there still be any interest? Regardless, it sounds like lots of folks had an opportunity to see Obama look very presidential and McCain look very old and grumpy.

9. The numbers for the first debate were down...

because it was on a Friday night. That is a terrible night for TV. Tuesday night attracts far more viewers.

Historically, the 3rd debate attracts fewer voters and is far less important politically. I refer to 3rd Presidential debates as the 4th PRESEASON game of the NFL season. You just want to get through it without injury.

I know who I'm voting for this year.
I don't know who's going to win the World Series.
Therefore...

18. WOW! I was WAY off!
I posted my guess of 35 million yesterday, although I did say that if people were still unsure of their choice the number could go to 50-60 million. So this means two horrible things, I was wrong and that there is still a lot of fluidity in opinion.

I'm not happy with either. :(

to be honest, I'd hate to tell you all the things I've been wrong about throughout the political season.

So how about this Clinton/Huckabee race?

I was certain of an Edwards/Guiliani fight.

I'm no good with multiple choice, either.

26. remember, the first debate was held on Friday
which probably accounted for lower ratings than this one.

but i think this is a good thing. i think McCain did worse in the 2nd debate than the first. in the first he came off rude towards OBama. but in the 2nd he just seemed so off in so many ways. from the lame jokes to his wandering around.

27. Is that the highest rated VP debate ever?
I know alot of people tuned in for the Palin factor but I'm glad they got to see Joe and what a good guy Obama has backing him up. As far as the second debate goes, more people got to see McCrap's weird lurching and rudeness.

28. I can't believe MSNBC was so low...
I feel bad because after all, it is the only channel that had the guts in 2006 to speak out against Bush's regime with Keith Olberman..

I am also stunned at the amoutn of ppl that watches fox news. 8 million people? that scares me a little because of those 8 million, according fox's poll, 85% thought McCain won.

Although we don't like Dick Gregory and Joe and sometimes Andrea Mitchell, i believe the evening slot is well reserved for our side with Chris, Keith and Rachel. I wish more people watch MSNBC.

I am kind of sad....: (((

and Rachel to be fire for low ratings!.. please please everyone.. this is the only channel we have where our voices and opinions can be actually heard...
