Cindy McCain: Obama Has 'Waged the Dirtiest Campaign in American History'

Cindy McCain goes on the attack

Wow! McCain's campaign must be really desperate to offer up his wife as fair game. Then again...

McCain Camp Cribs Recipe For Cindy -- Again!

at least I don’t plaster on the makeup like a trollop"

If that isn't enough evidence of Cindy McLiar's bad judgment, then spending $300,000 on this outfit should be:

How Cindy McCain was outed for drug addiction

When an attempt to get tough with a whistleblower backfired in 1994, the McCain spin machine went into overdrive, and the candidate's wife confessed to problems the media was already poised to reveal.

<...>

It's a story of unintended consequences. It's also a story of power politics and media manipulation that's very un-McCain-like -- if you believe his national media hagiography.

But both of Cindy McCain's staged, teary drug-addiction confessions have been vintage John McCain. His MO is this: Get the story out -- even if it's a negative story. Get it out first, with the spin you want, with the details you want and without the details you don't want.

McCain did it with the Keating Five, and with the story of the failure of his first marriage (Cindy is his second wife). So what you recall after the humble, honest interview, is not that McCain did favors for savings and loan failure Charlie Keating, or that he cheated on his wife, but instead what an upfront, righteous guy he is.

Candor is the McCain trademark, but what the journalists who slobber over the senator fail to realize is that the candor is premeditated and polished. John McCain shoots from the hip -- but only after carefully rehearsing the battle plan, to be sure he won't get shot himself.

1. "journalists who slobber over the senator fail to realize is that the candor is premeditated"
McCain is a deceitful bastard.

3. What's Eating Cindy McCain?

What's Eating Cindy McCain?

Yesterday she accused Barack Obama of "wag(ing) the dirtiest campaign in American history." Today she all but accuses him of putting her son's life in danger, telling a rally in Pennsylvania:

“The day that Sen. Obama cast a vote to not to fund my son when he was serving sent a cold chill through my body let me tell you,” she said. “I would suggest Sen. Obama change shoes with me for just one day. I suggest he take a day and go watch our men and women deploying.”

That's some ugly, ugly stuff. Much uglier, I'd add, than Michelle Obama's line about being proud of her country for the first time. After all, there was some question about what Obama was trying to say or whether she misspoke. It's all too clear what McCain's saying here.

In the late David Foster Wallace's largely glowing Rolling Stone profile of John McCain back in 2000, he memorably wrote (in the unabridged version that later appeared in this book) of McCain's Missus:

Mrs. Cindy McCain is up there too, brittly composed and smiling at the air in front of her and thinking about God knows what.

Well, at least we no longer have to wonder about what she's thinking.

4. I think Cindy McLiar feels the campaign slipping away.
She's desperate to become first lady.

5. There is something about that woman...
I betcha she has one helluva life story to tell, and it isn't pretty. I look at her and I see pain, and dis-ease..like she is in jail. When they appear together they do not appear to be a couple at all. I wonder if she's said any of these things in front of a crowd, or is it all through the media?

7. So Cindy is a masochist?
Being married to McCain isn't enough? She wants to feel the contempt from a large part of America?

Wow. She must really feel unworthy.

Clearly, all her brain cells were destroyed by her stolen drugs.

15. No, but throughout history Evil
has triumphed and we're this close to metaphorically kicking it to the curb, at least ..out of the White House.

That's Incredible!
