I live in conservative Utah...
Salt Lake City, actually. It's liberal, but still, it's Utah!

Anyway, my house is on a small cul-de-sac in a 1940s era neighborhood of the city. There aren't many homes on my street, yet, counting my house, four yards have Obama signs!

Zero for McCain.

3. Ralph Becker.

Rocky decided to not run for a 3rd term, so we elected Ralph Becker instead.

Becker is on the right at the Salt Lake Gay Pride Parade this year.

2. Up here in blue Jersey there are almost no signs for anyone
Everyone wants Obama signs and no one can get them. The local campaign workers who put up signs for local Democrats tell me that at almost every single home they are asked for Obama signs but they can't get them either from the county or state Democrats. Nobody seems to be able to get them.

I ordered one from the barackobama.com and got a phone call saying it was on "back order" LOL, I'll probably get if after the election. I'm not complaining because I wanted to make another donation anyway but I do think the symbolism of lawn signs is important to some people. I think maybe I saw 3 McCain/Palin signs so far but not a single one in my Democratic town for Obama. We just can't lay our hands on them. Even the Dem Mayor, a friend of mine, can't get one for his lawn.

4. Well, yeah, in older Salt Lake, that's not surprising.
Come up to Heber and see how many Obama signs you see. Not many. Or Alpine. Or Lehi. Or Vernal.

I have been pleasantly surprised to see so many Obama bumperstickers on the freeways.

There's no chance Utah will ever go blue, but at least some people are thinking.

5. Irish, I have a sign up on our hill
here in Cache Valley, Utah. Rural Lewiston. It's got to be 95% Republican up here. A very well traveled road goes west from Highway 91 and comes straight toward our house on top of this hill. I thought it was an excellent place for the sign, very visible. I haven't been driving much around the roads up here, but there are a lot of Obama signs in the west side of Logan.

I dream of this state going for Obama but it's probably not possible. Not unless the church gave the word to its faithful.

6. I was up in Logan for the Utah-USU game.
Though we just drove down the main drag up to Romney Stadium, so I didn't see many residential areas.

My hope is Obama breaks 30% here, which neither Gore or Kerry could do.

7. I'm in Park City
I haven't seen many yards signs for either candidate, but I've seen SO many Obama bumper stickers, and only one for McCain. We were in Southern Utah last week, and driving through Rockville on the way to Zion's, I was absolutely amazed... Nearly every single house had an Obama yard sign. What a cool little town.

8. Sadly, here in South Carolina..
My next door neighbors, who seemed to be nice enough people, put up a McCain-Palin sign right next to our yard. It takes all I have not to go pee on it.

10. Great...wish the same was true for me

I live in a city that voted 58% for Kerry. We don't have very many signs for either candidate...maybe one every couple of streets. Unfortunately, most are for McCain. But I don't think that necessarily is reflective of how people in my area will vote....just annoying having to see McCain/Palin (gives me scary thoughts).
