FOX Presidential Debate 5.172 million

10:00
ABC Presidential Debate 12.126 million
NBC Presidential Debate 9.295 million
CBS Presidential Debate 9.171 million

10:30
ABC Debate Analysis 9.637 million
CBS Debate Analysis 8.135 million
NBC Debate Analysis 7.626 million
UNI Aqui y Ahora 3.576 million

ABC was tops among the broadcast networks for viewers watching the debate. It's interesting that the CBS post debate show had more total viewers than NBC.(ABC led here too) Also viewership for the debate declined every hour.

Cable ratings are not yet available.

1. I had CBS on.
But after the debate flipped from one channel to another. Donna Brazille on ABC was good, and Paul Begala on CNN. I tend to avoid CNN though because four out of five times I tune in they are running a commercial.

2. I watched CNN

because they have HD coverage throughout the night. I also like the fact that they no longer go to the "spin room" which I consider a complete waste of time.

I record ABC, NBC, CBS and MSNBC and watch it later, so I am updated on how the political event is covered. I use to record FOX, but they are so right-wing and partisan that after the last debate, I know longer bother.

3. Whose coverage was most informative and interesting?
I'd love to be able to record all the channels and compare. Hey but you left out PBS, lol. I watched Keith and Rachel, but really wanted to hear more than just their side of the story. I'm leery of ABC. I like Jeff Greenfield on CBS, and Bob Schieffer. PBS can get very boring--they put on some academic historian who drones on and on. Do you find CNN does an adequate job, or are they kind of shallow? I should be a media critic--I spend way too much time thinking about this stuff!

5. It must be due to the live broadcast from
Bowling Green! The students interviewed at my alma mater after the debate did quite well (except the McPalin supporters).
