8. It's true.
I live there...there are some really super duper folks there.

But then there are some knuckle heads too. They tend to outweigh the rad people (in number and in sheer poundage, methinks). Norman is a fun town. Thank god I live there, when I'm not south of the border.

29. I'm hysterical now at my own joke...
seriously, there are a lot of really, really overweight people in Oklahoma. I'm not one to normally goof on the overweight. Both my sisters are a little heavy, and my grandma was overweight. And I could give a rat's patootie. But seriously, the poundage...it's amazing the state doesn't sink.

11. I'm really concerned...
my cousin called me up and told me everyone in her carpool won't vote for Obama because he is black! What should I do? Then the mailman told me that some of the people on his route won't vote for Obama because they think he is a muslin and a terrorist! What should I do? My neighbor really likes Sarah Palin! What should I do? OMG!

What can I say, it's tough sledding in this state for those of us who root for and support the good guys.

Unfortunately, if there was a capital for Christofacism it would be here. There is two things you can count on at every street corner in Oklahoma. A fast food restuarant and a church. We are over run with fundies.

This is the first year I've ever donated to a political campaign in 24 years of following politics. I finally came to the conclusion that my vote doesn't matter here, and the people who make up the majority, take delight in that fact. So, I went around them and have donated to Obama each pay check.

My vote might not matter, but my wallet does.

I have also donated. All the girls in my family are voting Obama anyway, because we can. :)

21. I grew up in Tulsa
It's slightly better for the Dems than central Oklahoma, that's one of the first things I noticed when I moved to OKC. The only real quasi-liberal bastion over here is Norman.

22. I consider Tulsa the capitol of the Bible Belt.
Yes, there's some stuff to do for us Libruls, but the constant reminders are everywhere. I imagine that I probably will move to another state at some point. And I've only been BACK here for almost 2 years. I do not really feel like part of the world around here.

24. If it weren't for family and a lot of friends I would be gone as well
But it's hard to pull up stakes if you're grounded in one place your entire life. I get by with traveling and surrounding myself with Dem leaning friends.

Funding Obama ads and the ground game is really important. Don't think you're not making a difference!

Sounds like a better reason to vote Obama than any they can come up with to vote for McLame

23. We'll get OK.. we just have to wrap up Alaska first real quick...
Right now we have the votes of all Moose, Bears & Wolves. The deer are holding out, but I think they'll come around.. they feel safe now - but once the other animals are gone.. they know their days are numbered. They'll be much safer with Palin across the globe.. :)
