Something that bothered me during the debate
I haven't heard it mentioned so I'll throw it out.

After being condescending to Oliver Clark (I bet you don't know what Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae are) McCain stated, "So this rescue package means that we will stabilize markets, we will shore up these institutions. But it's not enough. That's why we're going to have to go out into the housing market and we're going to have to buy up these bad loans and we're going to have to stabilize home values, and that way, Americans, like Alan, can realize the American dream and stay in their home."

McCain then pointed to the white guy that had asked the first question, Allen Shaffer.

What, Oliver isn't an American in McCain's worldview? Or Oliver doesn't get to buy a home? Why did McCain have to pick someone else to realize the American dream?

1. This white chick agrees with you totally. He was talking at
the black man like he was the butler. It was disgusting in its blatant racism.

be racist. Seriously.

4. This white chick agrees, too.
It seemed like McSame assumed that Mr. Clark was too black and/or maybe too young to be a homeowner.

8. There's not enough lipstick when you're that big a pig...
He can't help himself... I think he honestly thinks it's ok to be that way. He has no self-filter to stop him from being a bigot.

9. I totally caught this
as if the assumption was the young black man who ASKED the question didn't have a house to save, but the old white guy did.

Just a little aside: don't know if you watched the glad-handing and picture-taking post debate, but that old white guy took a pic with Sen. Obama and the guy was grabbing onto this hand and his smile looked like it wasn't going to disappear for a week. So, McCain, looks like you couldn't even pander to that guy!

12. I think he said it to show he could actually remember the last questioner's name and
I seem to recall that Allen's question did have something to do with housing, but I could be wrong.
