McCain's final strategy: A prediction
I am predicting that, by the final week of the campaign, McCain or his surrogates will be openly making an appeal for "racial loyalty" among white voters. They have tried EVERYTHING else. So why wouldn't they stoop that low?

I hope I am wrong. But I am expecting this to get even uglier before it is over.

1. For the next two weeks. Then he will throw in the towel and just
go through the motions like Bob Dole did. And by the way, it looks like Liddy Dole is on her way out, too.

2. Pretty much
if he can't get traction by the 21st, the writing is on the wall and it will be simply going through the motions.

7. As soon as the RNC stops funneling money in he is toast.
When they decide to cut their losses and focus on salvaging house and senate seats McToast will glaze over.

11. too bad for the RNC that the decision point for that was last week
It may be too late for them to save enough Senate seats to have any say whatsoever if they wait any longer.

3. But he already has all those people.
All that would do is scare off the undecideds.

I think he's more likely to just steal all Obama's ideas...

8. I think the last week will be dedicated to imploring for check and balance
by providing a Democratic congress a Republican President; to which we will say, Hell Naw, We need Action, not Gridlock!

9. No.
Maybe Palin would do this if they let her talk off-script, but even the RNC isn't that stupid.
