Gotcha questions

I just heard someone in my building smoking a cig use that term defending Palin. A little piece of me dies everytime I hear this term, along with Maverick and Surge.


Gotcha questions are "Do you believe that we should recognize Boris Yeltsin as the leader of Hamas"
Questions that are asked simply to embarrass. If I hear one more idiot like Thompson defend her for not knowing Supreme Court cases, reasoning that most Americans don't know them, I'll snap. Only four Americans are running and they god damn better know, as well as understand the constitution. She feels so strongly about Roe v Wade but never even took the time to understand the reasoning behind the decision.

When watching the couric interview, a couple of weeks ago, it was so obvious that she had no idea what Hamas or Gaza were. I was upset with Couric for not exploring it further. If there is one thing that I hate to hear a far right Christian say is "We can't have another Holocaust." To that I say no shit, but don't act like you care about it. It is extremely offensive to people like myself who lost huge branches of their family tree. It is even more offensive when it is repeated for political gain by someone who probably has never given enough of a shit to read a single article about israel in her life
