It's 'President That One' to You, John
Edited on Wed Oct-08-08 01:21 PM by chicagoexpat

Poling results and analysis of the recent presidential debate score this one a big victory for Barack Obama over the hate and fearmongering of the erratic and panicky McPalin ticket.

Respect and honor don't go to candidates who take the high road only when they're winning. It's how you act when your losing that indicates your character, and McPalin's character can only be found wanting.

E. J. Dionne Jr. said:

I was struck that some conservative commentators, including Bill Bennett on CNN, and my NPR colleague and Weekly Standard writer Matt Continetti, felt that McCain had not done what he needed to do and therefore effectively lost the debate. Matt noted that Obama looked more Reaganesque than McCain did, which is a high compliment from a conservative. And it’s true, I think, that Obama’s calm and thoughtful demeanor has been reassuring to many undecided voters. That is certainly what the snap post-debate polls showed.

From Democracy Corps:

Barack Obama once again won tonight’s debate, and undecided voters are prepared to move toward his candidacy, according to Democracy Corps research conducted around tonight’s second presidential debate.

The McCain campaign, which wanted to win ugly, is simply going to lose uglier.

It didn't work for Hillary, and it won't work for McPalin.
