People keep saying the debate was boring. I wasn't bored. It was entertaining watching McGrump walk
stiffly around the stage like a robot, repeat his anti Obama memes, and get smacked down every time. Also the meet and greet that Barack and Michelle did at the end was positively inspiring to watch. McGrump and Cindy of course rushed off to wherever they had to rush off to. Therein lies a tale also.

1. I don't know how long Barack and Michelle stayed, but they were
posing for picture after picture-- shaking hands, laughing-- looked like they were having a good time.

3. I am happy with my wife but must admit I am jealous of Barack. She is a knockout in every way.

2. I guess if people aren't screaming
they think there's "no passion". I don't get it. And Joe and Mika are psychotic, I am so sick of hearing them say Obama isn't likeable when all evidence is clearly to the contrary if you're remotely paying attention to anything outside a cable studio.

4. Exactly

The debate was in the backyard and I didn't think it was boring. I thought Obama came across likable (especially when McRude and Cindy left :)), calm, and presidential. McCain came across as rude, insulting (i.e. "that one"), and a grumpy panderer.

Edit: I hate the media. :grr:

5. Have you seen this yet?
I can't tell you how much I love these two. This country needs them on so many levels.

7. The RNC wants us to think it was boring. Move along. Go away. Nothing to see here.
Edited on Wed Oct-08-08 02:03 PM by Overseas
Don't notice McLiar said he'd be cutting medicare and would easily solve social security with a commission and he'd be giving us a $5000 rebate to purchase insurance which will actually cost much more that that and he'd cut a TRILLION DOLLARS out of medicare

and He said Health care is a responsibility, not a right.

And he was snubby and dismissive of "That One."

But hey, the debate was boring, nothing to see, move along...

8. I heard the RNC was also complaining it wasn't a "true town hall format." What is a true town hall
format anyway? Would they have us believe that McGrumpy was cranky because it was not a true town hall format?

9. McLiar would've done worse in a "true town hall format"
and they know it. A free flowing exchange of ideas? No way that works for Johnny.

The RNC's "true" town halls have carefully prescreened devotees ready to ask their preplanned questions.

10. I felt the same way
I was entertained watching Obama play chess, and McCain play checkers. It was that stark. Obama knew what he was doing, McCain looked awkward and out of his element, I thought tall halls was supposed to be McCain's strong suit?

12. I found it troubling watching McPenguin lie and think he was "winning"
It would be boring to people that don't give a shit about this country.

I guess.

14. It wasn't a very good format.
I much preferred the first debate where the two candidates were allowed to directly address one another and have more of a back and forth discussion on the issues.

I thought that both Obama and McCain did worse in this debate, but McCain much more so.

Obama definitely scored some points with the 'meet and greet'.
