Andrea Mitchell just reported another introduction referencing "Barack Hussein Obama."
Apparently, this just happened in an introduction at the McCain/Palin rally in Pennsylvania.

1. Obviously this is now the campaign's script
It's gonna get uglier before it's over.

2. Yes it will.... the better the polls are for Obama,
the meaner McCain's base will be. I expect some isolated violence too.

3. I'm of two minds about this issue...
On the one hand, it is his name. I'd almost love to see the Obama camp embrace it, frankly, and treat it like it isn't a big deal, downplay its significance, treat it like it's not a slur, etc.

On the other hand, I mean I'm not naive, I know what these right wing-nuts are doing, the is meant to make his seem like a dangerous other, a "half-breed muslin," a terrorist, and I really wish the repubs were above this.

12. I don't know if I would like...
people to use my middle name when they spoke about me. I never use it. Actually if I use it at all, it is just the initial..just like W does. The correlation they are trying to make is very obvious, and no different from trying to infer that Obama is a terrorist because he sat on the same board of a charitable foundation as Ayers. I guess the only people that would not be bothered by this, are those that have no problem with lies and smears. It is not the name, it is their intent when they use the name.

4. Frankly, there is part of me that wishes the media would stop reporting this
I mean the only people, if you can call them that cause don't know how human they are, going to McCain/Palin rallies are the quarter of Amerians that still think, after 9/11, Iraq, Katrina, the financial meltdown, etc. George Bushie is "doing a good job."

I don't care what they here because IMO they are the types that thrive off of fear and feeling superior. But until Palin can answer questions at a press conference (a job requirement for being Prez, BTW) they should show a few clips of their rallies and then stay silent and tell the American people they have nothing more to report until she is able to talk.

5. She cut Obama's speech before Faux or CNN did right now too

Biden's speech this morning was covered by all three networks too, but
Faux only played a minute of it, whereas MSNBC and CNN covered almost all of it.

7. Another McCain-Palin Introducer Declares "Barack Hussein Obama"
For the second time in three days, the speaker at a McCain campaign rally used Barack Obama's middle name "Hussein" in a demeaning fashion to ignite the crowd.

Speaking in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Bill Platt, the GOP chair of Lehigh County, twice referred to "Barack Hussein Obama" minutes before John McCain and Sarah Palin were set to take the stage.

20. I've been doing that lately
Unless I use a funny, but derogatory, term like McLame, McFailin, McThuselah, etc., I've been referring to the senior senator from Arizona as John Sidney McCain III. Makes him sound like the upper-class snob he is.

14. Despite any protestations from the McPalin camp, this is obviously
being approved of and encouraged by them. Their sliminess knows no bounds.

17. Watching right now. That sarcastic look-how-cute-I-am crap, the crowd bellowing...
"Drill, Baby, Drill." I am hoping so fervently that the American people just DESTROY this ticket from hell on Election Day.
