Tom Friedman really tore into Palin ..
He was fairly quiet thus far on the pick ... but really ...this one pretty much destroys her and McCain

I am not posting it as most of you must have read it ..

My other observation is that he normally does not go after people like the way he did in that piece

14. Thank You
I think it's an excellent article. I could use it to send to my freeper relatives who whine about "democrats raising taxes". He wrote clearly why paying tax is necessary.

3. I'm not a fan of Friedman, but kudos to him for that column...
I know Rethugs who listen to him and they need to hear this rant on paying taxes and patriotism.

4. He does not, but Palin has crossed a line.
I thought what he said about taxes was a point well made. I appreciated his article.

7. That is only because Palin will never have the opportunity to govern
anything but Alaska. If she were in Cheney's position she would do the same thing Cheney did.

16. he's right....Friedman supported Bush's strategy on Iraq far too long. "Give it another 6 months"
was a staple for Friedman from 2003-2006. Ever hear of a "Friedman unit" around the blogs?

i missed him when he came to pittsburgh recently. wish i got to meet him.

i'm very much looking forward to reading his article about palin. i think he cuts through all the BS and gives a straight shot, no spin piece each and every time. oh, and he hates mccain's energy plan!(who wouldn't)

15. Is borrowing money from China more patriotic than paying taxes?
Do you think borrowing money from China is more patriotic than raising it in taxes from Americans?” That is not putting America first. That is selling America first.

Slam-dunk.

Great article, thank you for posting it!
