A conversation with a client 10 minutes ago.
This company is a very good client of mine and she is the Executive Director of the company.

She is a late 30s, very pleasant woman.

She asked if I had watched the debate last night, and I said that "I'd heard it all before and was kind of tired, so I went to bed. Besides, I already know that I'm voting for Obama."

To my great surprise, she said she was voting for McCain. Her reasons:

- His experience
- His position on immigration
- His position on abortion
- His position on free markets

Obviously not wanting to get into an argument with such a good client, I simply stated my reasons for voting for Obama, and also added that I agreed with McCain's position on immigration.

Sometimes, it just doesn't pay to get into an argument.

1. Yeah, I don't inject politics into my interactions with clients either,
unless I already know what their politics are. Seems inappropriate, business-wise. I will say who I'm voting for and why if they bring it up first or want to know.

2. I've a regular customer that have decided to not mention politics.
I've posted about this person before, considers self "independent" but always, always votes repub but was seriously supporting Clinton in primaries and has, no surprise, gone back to the dark side. Even though is doing much worse than 8 yrs ago, considers mrbush an anomaly and the repub party is the Party of Business. And, moreso, really wants a vagina running things, and fears having a dark colored penis in the white house. Sorry, meant wants a woman and not a black man.

So, we don't talk much now. It is a shame, though we live in a very blue county.
