Chris Matthews was in stitches over some of the moments last night
Especially the bit about, "Not you, Tom"

I guess mcpang was being funny? But it was very awkward. And also "this one." Whenever Mccang told a "joke," it was dead silent.

It's clear Matthews is for Obama.

And the crowd that hung around in the background of Hardball were all pro-Obama. Standing in the rain, their signs sodden-- they were truly elated-- you could see the glow in their faces. Just like after the first debate. :kick:

1. I think his answer for most of the campaign was Phil Gramm, and he doesn't have an answer anymore
It was probably between Gramm and Carly Fiorino, and he hasn't come up with a new name yet.

2. The dude just loves politics
and he knows when someone totally f'd up a debate when he sees it. He panned Palin when everyone else was praising her performance. The public polls show Tweety knows a lot about the game of politics.

4. If McCain has a good day the next debate
Tweety will change sides again. His bi-polar condition has had a run for its money this election season.

6. My husband and I cracked up right along with him. It was a joy to see.
He was laughing so hard his face was really, really red. And his guests were cracking up, having to duck their heads to try to compose themselves. I loved every second of it.

Did me good :)

And I scanned the people behind him and they were so elated just to be standing there holding their signs, you could tell. But where were the mcpang supporters???

9. I wondered that, too. Hmm, are they afraid of a little rain? Or were
they simply too embarrassed to show their faces?

11. Last time Matthews did a post-debate program, there was only
ONE republican in the crowd. And Matthews asked him why he was voting repug, and the young man said, "I'm pro-war." But that was the only one in that crowd of dems.

20. I can't remember which debate now-- either the first presidential
or the VP debate, but Matthews was there (as he was there last night post-debate) and there were lots of people behind him holding Obama signs-- lots. And there wasn't a drop of rain in sight. :eyes:

7. The crowd was instructed to remain quiet.
So McCain should have known better than to try to crack feeble jokes.

12. I know a lot of people don't like him (at DU), but he's very insightful
He picks up on things I miss all the time. I know that's his job but, unlike Faux news guys/gals, he does a good job at it. IMHO

16. I really enjoy watching him! I know he's a goofball, but he is smart and insightful, and often he
says things that no one else is thinking.

17. In general, I like him. I think he just likes to play Devil's Advocate.
My boyfriend is a BIG lefty. But he enjoys arguing "the other side". Drives me crazy. LOL

21. I have a love/hate relationship with Chris
when he's good he really goes after the repigs with a vengeance but sometimes when he's in a contrary mood I feel like putting my foot thru the TV.
