Someone needs to keep McCain away from the donuts.

5. or steroids. Or bad tailoring. Whatever the cause, it didn't help with
his ill-at-ease demeanor.

10. Why would he be on steroids?
Wow, is there any reason that McCain would be on steroids?

I had to take steroids this past summer--because I had a bad case of poison ivy. I was
on 80 mg of Prednisone. It affected my mood and behavior--in the worst of ways. I
practically went nuts. It makes you very agitated and short tempered. It was just
awful. I felt like I was losing my mind.

That sure would explain McCain's behavior. He acts like a caged animal.

12. Well, I doubt he has poison ivy, although he makes *my* skin crawl.
Steroids (like prednisone) can be part of a chemo regimen.

3. Maybe he had a brace on under it...
Something to keep him standing straight. It would explain his stiffness as well

Remember Bill Clinton back in the day? His eating habits were really bad, probably the worst I have ever seen in modern politics! LOL....I just remember the SNL skit with him at a McDonalds.

My first guffaw of the day! Thanks for that!

I can see Cindy now...running out to the campaign jet with an oil-stained, brown paper bag, "Yoo hoo! Honey!
You forgot your homemade enchiladas, cornbread, three-bean salad, and slice of apple pie!"

LOL!

14. Heh heh -- yeah, I couldn't resist
Especially after those her comical repeated Recipegate episodes.

By the way, Iowa is going to turn blue this year, right? You must be pretty happy about Barack doing so well.

16. Oh yes...
Iowa is going to be a nice shade of sapphire blue this November.

Obama coalesced an amazing ground game during his campaign before the Iowa caucuses, and that is still going strong. He's
got a very strong presence and many offices in the state. I live in a suburb (population 30,000)
and we have an office here. I find that amazing.

McCain came in 3rd in the Republican caucus, garnering only 13 percent of the vote.

Also, 239,000 Iowans turned out for the Democratic caucuses--and handed Obama a dramatic win. Only 108,000
Iowa Republicans caucused. I think those numbers tell you about the excitement that Obama has generated
in our state.

I'm sure you saw his interview with the Des Moines Register editorial board. It was a complete disaster.
McCain looked like he was in a rage spiral.

He's got no mo here--and Obama has everything going for him. Iowa Democrats are pretty proud of the
fact that Obama won our caucuses. We're sentimental about Obama and highly motivated to vote for him.

McCain...not so much.

19. I have a sentimental attachment to Iowa for putting Obama where he is now
<< Iowa Democrats are pretty proud of the fact that Obama won our caucuses. We're sentimental about Obama and highly motivated to vote for him. >>

That's good to hear. And y'all would be right to be proud... after all, Iowans knew better than the rest of the nation at the time. Since then, I always tell people that Iowans are the smartest, most informed voters in the
country, bar none. Fool you once, shame on Bush... but he/Republicans couldn't fool y'all twice.

Yeah, that Des Moines Register interview was a hoot. Did those choice snippets of McGrumpy find alot of TV
time in Iowa? What'd people on the ground think of it? That must've led many undecideds to opt for Obama/Biden, eh?

By the way, are you watching Obama in Indianopolis right now? He's got a new stump speech and he's on fire.
The crowd looks like Iowa: good folks. :)

P.S. I was in Iowa volunteering for him during December and was at HyVee Hall that special night. I'm planning
on doing that again in 2012. I told my significant other that Iowa would be a good place to retire and grow
switch grass someday far far away (plus, we'd get to see the presidential race up close and personal every four years).

13. I didn't notice that so much as how old and lumbering he seemed
seriously, his hunched-over back, his stiffness, his gait as we lumbered around the stage.

For all Team McLame's pushing to do more town hall debates, I actually don't think the format suited him well at all.

He simply looked really old, as opposed to Obama, who seemed graceful, athletic, and comfortable in his body.
