Red carpet, Blue walls! Every damned time.
Does this bother anyone else but me? Every single debate, every election the same thing. Superman-Blue walls and trim everywhere, even on the railings, and this bright, shrieking red carpet! I even considered turning off the color on my TV tonight, but was afraid I'd screw something up.

What wouldn't I give if they'd just use some nice Earth tones for a change!!

Seriously--the decor is so unreal, so unlike normal rooms that it gives the debate an unreal aspect--like it's in Disneyland or on the moon or somewhere. Why can't we have a reality based encounter between the candidates.

1. Viewers like to see red, white, and blue in Presidential debates.
And so the networks provide.

8. navy/maroon would be an improvement.
Red is a very hard color to decorate with. You can overdo it so easily. If they have to use these, maybe a dark red/maroon color on the walls like you see in some dining rooms, and the carpet could be a darker more serious blue. Or a pattened one, possibly. And a lot more wood tones to neutralize the impact of all of that color.

(he does wear some really nice ties. ;) I like his gray one. )

2. As long as we can walk all over the RED and let the BLUE hold up the walls,
I'm fine with it. ;)

3. Yeah, that red carpet was WAY too much red
Gave me as bad a headache as McCain does.
