McCain's "I know how to do this, I know how to do that" was nauseating. It couldn't have been

even close to comforting even for the hardest-core freeper. He's a creepy guy who, when he speaks with that breathy "know it all" voice, comes across as someone who has been so unconvincing to his friends for so long that he's lost touch with how to express himself!

In all these instances he says he knows how - but never lets on as to how he'd do any of these things. There's no there there. No substance.
