Second question into tonights townhall debate - McCain enlightens us on his brilliant strategy to shore up the economy is...

...to allow the Treasury Secretary to buy up actual troubled mortgages (Not MBS's or some other basket of securitized mortgage instruments) and then to change the loan (original principle) so that it is more in line with current (read: lower) home prices.

He has time to turn things around but there are no big punches from him yet tonight. He needs a win and not a draw and this is a weak performance so far. Obama has given him more than enough ammo and he refuses to take advantage.

This is what I meant when I was worried about McCain “ruining” Sarah Palin. She could be associated with crap like this.
