David Gregory on Obama: "He is not a great debator by all accounts"
Does he just ignore his own network's polls that say that Obama easily defeated McCain in the first debate.

1. That's okay. Gregory is not a real journalist, by all accounts.

And there's a reason his mouth is as big as it is. He doesn't just use it to eat and talk.

3. Eh, let him play down on Obama's chances. This time, it doesn't do much damage to us.
It's retarded for him to think that Obama wasn't good at debating even though his performance in the first debate proved otherwise. But in this case, it helps to lower the expectations for Obama as it helps increase the pressure on McCain.

9. And David Gregory is not a great show host by all accounts.
I'll be willing to bet Obama's Presidency is going to last longer than Gregory's show.

Gregory's a mosquito. Nobody takes him seriously. He was good at baiting Bush but he's not in Obama's league. Not by a long shot.

Same ol', Same ol'
After the debate Gregory will be talking about how McCain threw the knockout punch....yet when the average American gets polled on who won the debate, most likely they'll say Obama won.

13. It was originally the Obama campaign that said that MONTHS AGO!
They admitted his strong advantage was speaking to large crowds and energizing them. Don't get yourself all in a snit with Gregory. Remember, he never said McNuts WAS a great debator!

Barack did a good job in the first debate, as I'm sure he'll do tonight, but it's really not his most advantageous venue.

but I don't think debates are Obama's strongest forte. Biden is a more natural debater, for example.

The people have made up their minds and the media has been caught with its pants down twice in debates.

27. Funny how the spindoctors, pundits and talking heads all said...
...that McCain and then Palin had done such a great job, then the actual people were polled and the story was otherwise. Guess he's not such a poor debator after all, Mr. Gregory, except of course in your own talking-point filled mind.

35. I tend to agree with him
I thought Kerry and Biden were both better debaters than Obama. Obama's strength is longer speeches. He tends to um and ah a lot during debates, but almost never giving a speeches. It's pretty noticeable the difference.

36. Current debate score: 2-0.
First debate was supposed to be foreign policy, McCain's "strong suit." Early economic question pulled rug out from under his feet and he never recovered. Again, "town hall" format is supposed to favor McCain. He has looked ragged the whole campaign. I don't expect him to do any better tonight. My take on his problems:

1. His age. He isn't up to the sustained physical grind.

2. Sarah Palin. He made an impulsive and foolish decision and he's figured out that it was a mistake and that he's stuck with it.

3. He's also stuck adhering to a keep-the-base-on-board Republican platform that he can't sell because he doesn't believe half of it himself.
