The RNC's independent ad arm is broadening its ad buy to include two more red states, another indication of GOP efforts to bolster their defenses in states they won four years ago.

The committee tomorrow will expand on an ad buy that began last week to include North Carolina and Florida, two states where Barack Obama has been vastly outspending John McCain on the airwaves in recent weeks.

Brad Todd, who heads the independent expenditure (IE) effort, said in a statement that their commercial, Worse, would go up on parts of the two states.

It also going up statewide in Maine, where Republicans believe they may be able to snag one of the two electoral votes that are distributed there by congressional district.
