Man shot three times in street by racist gunman - for wearing Barack Obama T-shirt

A man told today how he was shot three times in a London street for wearing a Barack Obama T-shirt.

Dube Egwuatu was buying a mobile telephone top-up card in an off-licence when the gunman confronted him and glared at the top, which carries an image of the Democrat US presidential candidate underneath the legend 'Believe'.

The man then launched into a tirade of racist slurs, shouting 'I f***ing hate n*****s' and urging 36-year-old Mr Egwuatu to leave the shop with him.

The man then left the shop but when Mr Egwuatu re-emerged, the attacker was waiting for him in broad daylight with a threatening-looking dog and holding a gun behind his back.

2. Exactly whom was being targeted? Sounds like the wearer who happened to be wearing a shirt
w/Obama's pix on it. Regardless, the shooter was racist. I didn't realize that there was a problem w/racism in the UK.

4. exactly...but what we don't seem to fathom...is that it only takes ONE person
out of the millions/billions who support him...ONE...to cause a problem...and those ONES are out there, right alongside you and I...that's why the episodes of the opposition party whipping people up into a frenzy about killing someone, and calling someone a terrorist...should NOT be allowed to continue w/o being addressed in a serious manner...by one or both campaigns...this is danger and there are nutcases everywhere you go..wb

10. Well, then you may as well as add all the hate-talk television hosts such as O'Reilley, Hannity,Limp
balls. The guy who shot up a church a few weeks ago - W. Va maybe? I don't remember - someone posted the video on here, exposing the fact that there is a consequence for hate speech. The police found in the shooter's house books by Hannity and Limpballs, and the shooter had been spouting verbatim from their books as he shot up the church and the people. No, it's not murder by proxy--but an example of what hate speech can do. And there SHOULD be a price to pay for that, imo.

6. They have as much racism problems as America--percentage wise.
They tend to be less verbal about it though.

7. Less verbal, but...
Less verbal, but more "proactive," apparently.

8. Absolutely...I remember when I lived in London a few years back.
Literally every night on the news was some racialized violence caught on CCTV. Mainly it was mintorities (Blacks, Muslim, Indian, Pakistani, Turkish (issues in those last three camps)) being attacked by Whites.
