I have a friend, lives in rural south, redneck, hunter, life time republican. I haven't even discussed politics with him because there's no point. A week ago he was gung ho on McCain. Sunday he said he was voting for Obama...because of healthcare. His daughter has MS and he said that if her benefits are taxed, as they would be with McCain's plan, they wouldn't make it financially. I think more than ever before people are looking at how they will be effected personally. My friend's daughter is his life. He doesn't give a damn who knew who when or that Ellen got married...he cares about his family.
