Obama has thousands of folks working for him and in many cases these folks have no one. Folks are even refusing to make calls for them st HQ saying they are ONLY interested in Obama. Please call and volunteer. The REAL difference in your lives is made by the bottom of the ticket. Remind folks to vote D from the "Bottom Up" not the Top Down."

2. Excellent advice -
Don't forget the down-ticket folks. We need to win as many seats as possible.

3. Stop in at your local Dem office.
They will have the straight Dem ticket printed on a handy card so that you can take it to the polls with you. Don't forget to volunteer when you are down there.

4. Most Dem offices are only working for up ticket races. Call the local folks and work for them.

Volunteering through your offices does little good. Contacting the candidates directly works best. Most have websites.

8. In Ohio the local offices are pretty much the bottom rung.
I don't know where you live but hey whatever works for you.

6. down here in Texas, the county orgs are all about the from the bottom up
striving to prove to the national org that there is a reason to campaign in Texas again, to spend money here, to MAKE THE OTHER SIDE spend money here.

Obama's teams are teaching the method, and the excitement of Obama on the ticket has generated way more interest and involvement, plus the general trends. Anyway, at least in our county, the Obama team and the county party have teamed up for phone banking, GOTV, and blockwalking, to promote the down ticket candidates.

We are close to taking back the State House and closing on Cornyn. He is spending money on ads, people. Just the fact that he thinks he has to is a statement in itself.

5. I guess it is typical this is dropping like a stone. The lack of enthusiasm for locals is palable.
The GOP understands the value of local races much better than we do.That is how they built a solid base. Dems just seem interested in the glamour of the big races. It is really sad.

7. 1. This is the presidential forum. 2. Most people here are already
supporting downticket dems. 3. Perhaps if you posted without insinuating that state Dem HQs only care about Obama (which is untrue) you might have gotten more response.

Lastly, you have made your feelings about Obama quite clear...

9. Sorry but most state HQ ARE focusing on Obama.I have been to several.

And maybe where you are folks are "supporting" down ticket Dems and congrats to those who are but there is no reason to assume that many are working for dowm ticket Dems. I would be shocked if many are working legaslative or city council or Supervisor races. We have a multi term dem Mayor gegging folks to vote bottom up in a challanged race. And it seems no one is listening! We actually have folks walking into HQ "refusing" to work for any of the down ticket Dems. And I am supporting Obama. He is the Democratic Nominee.Don't drag primary wars into this.We should be building a farm team.

And I put this in the Presidential Forum so folks would read it!
