"On Nov. 4, let's leave Barack Hussein Obama wondering what happend,"
October 06, 2008
Categories: John McCain

The middle name

"On Nov. 4, let's leave Barack Hussein Obama wondering what happend," a Florida official says, warming up the crowd for Palin, who wasn't yet there.

It is his middle name. It's also a place the McCain campaign hasn't wanted to go, and if they wanted to go there, this probably wasn't the way to do it.

Indeed, Palin's rollout of all the harshest attacks seems to be getting McCain's campaign the downside of the attacks -- the backlash, the sense that he's playing dirty -- without actually communicating them in a particularly effective way. Today we have coverage of Palin talking about Wright, for instance, not of Obama and Wright.

1. This will backfire horribly on them.
It's a disgusting, racist attack and it will backfire horribly.

4. I swear Mccain had dignity once
In 2004, he came pretty close to being John Kerry's running mate. And a lot of democrats would have been happy with that (or at least, been so eager to see the back of Bush they'd have voted for the ticket)

I think Letterman was right. Running for president ruined him. Hillary came out of the primaries looking pretty bad as well, even if she has repaired a lot of the damage.

6. I used to respect the guy
hell I was a supporter of his way back. Now, I can't wait to see the end of him. His entire legacy ruined because he wanted to be President more than anything and he's happy to sell his soul for it.

8. If you want to be president THAT badly, you shouldn't be
Mark Twain had a joke about picking the people for president that least wanted the job.

7. No, no he did not.
He's always been a warmaniac. Smart people in the know have been warning about him for many years. His McCain-Lieberman "Clash of Civilizations" war party has been on the rampage since the late 90s at least. No dignity or honor in this man at all.

9. was there ANY evidence that Kerry was thinking of him?
or was it, as I feel, McCain tossing around that idea to put his name in the news?

11. reading this Rolling Stone article will cure you of that
McCain-- a whining, drunken lecherous self-serving phony, from junior high on

http://www.rollingstone.com/news/coverstory/make_believe_maverick_the_real_john_mccain

NEVER had any honor--just resentment over the success of his dad and granddad, which he could never repeat. Just like Bush only worse!

13. more likely that he got into the pilot's seat just to pad his resume
so that he could be Admiral, too ... or, maybe even President, which they accuse John Kerry of doing, despite the fact that, when Kerry testified in front of Congress, he knew that he would be subject to a lot of venom ...

12. I hope McCain's reputation is completely, irreversibly destroyed after this,
Words fail as to how disgusting this is.
