I went to a birthday party yesterday...
At mt Executive director's house. He lives in a very exclusive/gated community. He use to brag about how his neighborhood were big time Bush/Cheney supporters, yet I saw 5 Obama/Biden signs on lawns in his cul-de-sac! One of his neighbors even had on an Obama t-shirt...much to his dismay. He kept threatening to throw him out (jokingly). This neighor (a republican) said it's time for a change, let the Dems clean up the mess that the repubs scrwed up so bad; throw the bums out!

My boss' wife, told me later in the kitchen, she's voting Obama/Biden, no matter how her husband feels about it! She's worried about her kid's future.

If Obama/Biden are penetrating this neighborhood, believe me that's a good thing! My boss ain't happy with his choices, so maybe he'll just stay home, but no way will he vote for Obama/Biden, he's worried about a tax increase on his earnings and investments...ugh! He earns about 600K a year.. says it's unfair..! I'm gonna take a hit under Obama's plan too, but I'm willing and able, for the greater good. I tell him he's a selfish bastard...and he tells me I'm crazy, never vote to give it back.

He really is a jerk, but he can be so generous sometimes, it's infuriating.

1. I have seen a lot of cross overs, too, with the well to do...
...and I have also seen what you touched on: They are not voting at all...which, of course, does not help McCain.

:hi:

2. Yep at my place of employment many Repubs said they are staying home...
some say they are crossing over. It's such a big difference from 2000 and 2004, when many of them were adamantly Bush/Cheney, no matter what I said, or how much I warned them...

Now, I just say...told ya so!

3. Me and Husband are going to take a pretty big hit, too.
But we will do it, because we know that it is right and fair. And like Biden said, it is Patriotic to pay my share---I, and my daughter and husband get so much out of this country, it's only right that we buy into the system.
