Bus overturns in CA, Man hit by lightening.

It's all the economy. The Ayers attack is waaay down on the list. It's all about the world markets collapse.

6. The money hasn't been spent yet and some banks seem to be balking at the deal.
It'll be interesting to watch how many banks participate in the reverse auctions.

7. It should not be a surprise. We sold crappy mortgages and crappy mortgage related securities around
the world. If we don't have a magic bullet for them, why would anyone else?

8. Funny thing is
the crisis could be immediately by just helping out the homeowners since defaulting on mortgages is the root cause of the credit crisis. Faced with the choice between bailing out the bank or bailing out the struggling homeowner, the bank gets bailed out.
