Read it and weep John McCain, you are toast.

Right time, right place, watch and learn. We need to work like we want to be 20 pts up. In 1932 Dems picked up 97 seats, thats right 97 seats in the House, and 12 in the Senate, thats what Obama is fighting for, the down ticket races and the Super Majority in Congress.

Doood, got your back.

1930: Dems pick up 51 seats in the house. Wiki. Republicans hold onto the majority by 2 seats. In the Senate Dems picked up 8 seats. Wiki. This was the first of four consecutive Senate elections in the Depression in which Democrats made major gains, achieving a cumulative gain of 37 seats.

1932: FDR is elected. On his coat tails, a 97 seat DEM pick up in the House, flipping the House to the Dems. Wiki. And 12 seats are picked up in the US Senate. Wiki. 59 seats in the Senate, plus Minnesota's Henrik Shipstead from the Farm/Labor party.

2004: George Bush reelected, brings 3 republican House wins on his coat tails. Wiki. As well as 4 republican senators. Wiki.

2006: Dems pick up 31 seats in the House flipping the House to the Dems. Wiki. Republicans lost 5 seats in the senate. Wiki.

2008: ?

Dem vote:
2004: 50/48
2006: 52/44
1928: 40/58
1932: 57/39

FDR won 57/39 on 52.5% turnout in 1932, but had significant coat tails.

I think thats how its going to end Obama 57%, McCain 39%.

Now lets get to work...

EDIT:

I looked for recent posts, and saw all the hints and rumors, of this, but I have the actual web site, which might be a scoop.

Keating 5 ring a bell?
McCain's past collides with the present Wall Street debacle.

Once upon a time, a politician took campaign contributions and favors from a friendly constituent who happened to run a savings and loan association. The contributions were generous: They came to about $200,000 in today's dollars, and on top of that there were several free vacations for the politician and his family, along with private jet trips and other perks. The politician voted repeatedly against congressional efforts to tighten regulation of S&Ls, and in 1987, when he learned that his constituent's S&L was the target of a federal investigation, he met with regulators in an effort to get them to back off.

That politician was John McCain, and his generous friend was Charles Keating, head of Lincoln Savings & Loan. While he was courting McCain and other senators and urging them to oppose tougher regulation of S&Ls, Keating was also investing his depositors' federally insured savings in risky ventures. When those lost money, Keating tried to hide the losses from regulators by inducing his customers to switch from insured accounts to uninsured (and worthless) bonds issued by Lincoln's near-bankrupt parent company. In 1989, it went belly up -- and more than 20,000 Lincoln customers saw their savings vanish.

Keating went to prison, and McCain's Senate career almost ended.

7. Rec'd! And here's an article I got from
DUer sparosnare to go along with it.

<snips>

"Keep telling them that it wasn't that you were bought off but that Charlie Keating got special help only because he was one of the biggest employers in the state."

Just keep sitting there and staring into the camera and denying that Keating bought you for money and jet plane trips and vacations.

So what if he gave you $112,000? Just keep smiling at the cameras and saying you did nothing wrong.

Maybe the voters will understand you took those tiring trips to Charlie's place in the Bahamas in their behalf. Certainly, they can understand you wanted to take your family along. A senator deserves to travel on private jets, removed from the awful crush of public transportation.

You sought out a master criminal like Keating and became his friend. Now you've discarded him. It shouldn't be surprising that you are now in the process of selling out your senatorial accomplices."

Obama was keeping it neatly tucked away, ready to bring it out at the exact right moment.

They are going to be soooo sorry that they made up a story about Ayers.

On Deadly ground fight.

There is a time and place to fight, Obama has chosen when & where, to fight. Sun Tzu also said, when your opponent is angry, irritate him.

And thats what Obama did, anger McCAinsy on monday, just before the tuesday debates, and then irritate him during the debates.

The only way they can get their message out and in front of the majority of voters is to get this on the TV. That takes big bucks. Give till it hurts in the stretch run to victory. I just sent in another $100.
