WHEN YOU PULL OUT OF MICHIGAN, SO YOU HAVE THE TIME & MONEY TO DEFEND NEBRASKA...

YOUR
CAMPAIGN
IS
FUCKED

I live here.. and it's not a place one visits for FUN. Great to raise a family... and we even have things like movies, malls, theater, opera, symphony & some great restaurants.. and we're even getting some good shopping - but it's not exactly considered the tourism mecca of the midwest.

We ARE the home of Warren Buffet... but I don't think Palin was stopping by for any advice on the economy.. it's a bit too late for that.

No - THIS is why Gov. Palin stopped by tonight:

FiveThirtyEight.com: Omaha Is In Play
Oct 04, 09:26 AM CST

As if there was any doubt:

Berge told us that we’d know if the Nebraska 2d congressional district internals had the McCain camp worried if we started seeing Republican surrogates in the area. With every day’s time so precious for each candidate—an issue of resource allocation—campaigns have to prioritize where the smartest expenditure of time will be. The nominee or VP nominee going to an area is a big deal.

Tomorrow night, a mere month before the election, not a surrogate but Sarah Palin herself is visiting Omaha, while Barack Obama just opened a second field office. Early voting is already underway.

“Oh c’mon, do we have to?” aside, if the McCain campaign is defending Omaha rather than spending time in Michigan, there is no bluffing going on—McCain is holding on for dear life at this stage.

Consider Omaha in play.

Dedicated Campaign for Change staff and volunteers have been in the 2nd CD for weeks asking Nebraskans for their votes. One Sarah Palin-led pep rally won’t even come close to matching all that work.

thought you would find this interesting.

I went down to see how things were going and was glad to see about five or six people across the street supporting Obama. My friend and I decided to join them. By 6:30 PM, I would say there was between 80 – 100 people showing their support for Obama!

8. Oh, believe me, she's not looking for votes at the zoo.
It's just been awhile since she's murdered anything. I hope somebody remembers to count the animals when she leaves.

4. I went to Omaha 4 years ago and I liked it there.
I took a walk through the Fontenelle Forest, around a couple of lakes, and to the mysterious Hummel Park. I enjoyed my visit there. I can think of far worse places to spend 3 days at.

10. You're right.. our zoo is one of the top 10 in the WORLD..
No exageration there.. it's unbelieveable. And, they're expanding again.. adding a whole "Arctic World" in 2011 after they tear down Rosenblatt stadium (building a new stadium downtown for the college world series).

Thanks for that.. totally forgot to add the zoo/cws to my op. ;)
