16. Lily has never done the "yup I'm gay" thing.

Armasted Maupin (the writer of the "Tales of the City" books) was a real asshole a few years ago. Lily narrated "Celluloid Closet" and Army got a stick up his ass and bitched about Lily never coming out "officially". He wrote this scathing letter that was printed in one of the gay papers in SF and someone wrote back call his ass on the carpet. Army was good friends with Rock Hudson for years and kept his sexuality a secret. Sometimes my people can be fucking jerks. I lost a lot of respect for him after that.

I can not remember the lady's name, but she's a big democratic fundraiser.

There were about 75 people there. Beautiful house. I think we raised about $25,000.
