Judging by your comment, probably not.

Obama has outspent McCain by $200M through 8/31.

Why waste a lot of money there when it can be better spent in NC, VA, Colo, Nevada...

Allocation of resources is a good way to measure how a campaign will turn into the ruling party.

Many of which are threatened and in expensive media markets. The idea the RNC can simply use all of this on McCain is a myth.

52. I agree.
I think they know it's a lost cause with McCain, and the only hope they have is to spend that money trying to keep the seats they have in congress. They want to do everything they can to screw up an Obama presidency, and that's where they are going to be putting the money.

38. Agreed, but it isn't unlimited.
If it were, they would not have pulled out of Michigan.

Also, it could get tougher for them to raise new donations down the stretch because:

1) nobody wants to back a loser, and

2) people with this kind of money may not want to be SEEN backing a loser because they will want to do business with the Obama administration.

Edited on Sun Oct-05-08 08:51 PM by dontforgetpoland
I think these are old #s and the new #s have not updated. Beside "the Cash of Hand" column, there is a reference which states: "Figures reported to the FEC by the campaign committees as of August 31, 2008". I really hope these #s represent today figures, but I'm not sure since both camps have not release there September #s yet.
