good news from the Heartland
I just spoke to my mother in Nebraska, no secret that it is a red state. She is a life-long Republican (don't ask me why, I wish I knew) who is up in the air at this point as to how she will vote. Anyway, she kept muttering things in a silly sing-song voice to someone (not my dad) and finally she mentioned the Sarah Palin is in Omaha and was on TV at the time.

She was quite animated as to how much she can't stand that woman and what an empty vessel she is! We talked about our fears that if McCain gets in now that Ms. Thang will be primed to take over in 2012, and she metioned the debate and how disgusted she was over Palin. I didn't push her to see how she will ultimately vote but it is obvious that Caribou Barbie isn't as popular "on Main Street" as she thinks. Yeah!

2. she is northwest of Omaha
I assume Douglas/Sarpy counties are their own district? The folks live in Fremont.

3. It's comforting to know that media isn't having a stranglehold on critical thought this election.

4. Good to hear
I have to imagine a lot of "Main st" is sick of Caribou Barbie's condescension and her apparent assumption that working class people are stupid. Does that dumbass even know that most unions are endorsing Obama and not McLame and her fakey fake folksy act?

9. Same thing is going on in NH
I was out canvassing in NH this Saturday and, no matter how much the MSM tries to call the VP debate a draw, Palin is not playing well in the Granite State. Hillary supporters are insulted. Women are embarrassed and men are concerned that Palin is completely out of her league.

The Republicans have really hoisted themselves on their own petard this time. Yeah, real smart choice, asshats. May your candidstes' polls keep dropping like a stone because of your cynical ploy.
