I'm so psyched! Tired, a little sunburned, psyched, and very happy! I just returned home from a day at the Octoberfest celebration in our county in Iowa. Iowa County is a conservative county, voting largely Republican over the years. Well, we marched in the Octoberfest parade--about roughly 15 people and a couple of local Democratic Party candidates. We carried Obama signs, tossed candy, passed out stickers, and chanted. In parades past, the Democratic Party contribution was booed. This year we got applauded. Many thumbs up and waves and smiles. We passed out a large roll of stickers and were thrilled to hear affirmations of Obama from the crowd lining the streets.
GOBAMA!
PS One of us had a sign reading "Ask me how many houses I have." Reply: "Part of one, the bank owns the other part."
