Bradley Effect, Schmadley Effect.
P whole lotta people are starting to wake up to the fact that, just now, the kind of racism that would prevent them from voting for the most competent candidate is an unaffordable luxury.

To paraphrase my FIL and BIL, whom I reported on elsewhere, "I still don't like THEM, but I like Obama, and besides McCain's nuts."

Yeah, we all know America is a racist country. But the best thing to kill racism would be for this brilliant, compassionate, wonderful black guy to lead us out of the morass. I mean, Migod, think of the cognitive dissonance that would cause in so many little minds out there! I mean, if brains were like piezoelectric crystals, all the cerebral twisting would generate enough electricity to solve the energy crisis.

And think of how many of those minds would end up resolving the dissonance by moving away from racism.

2. The problem is, these "reluctant convert" type voters are exactly the ones ...
who I fear will panic in the voting booth and go "white". Any negative news stories involving blacks between now and the election will just brew in the back of their minds, causing doubt.

Then when the curtain is drawn and they are alone with their own thoughts and The Choice, a mental battle will ensue between what is common sense and what drives their irrational fear.

3. I think that alot of bigots haven't been shy about saying that
they're not voting for the muslin, uppity, exotic guy. I do think that there will be a small Bradley effect though. I'd guess around 1-2%. Just a guess though.

4. How much ya wanna bet that after this election there's going to be something:
called the "Obama Effect"

When all the "likely voter" polling methodologies are thrown out the window by the flood of unlikely and first time voters.
