(R)asmussen Maine Poll: Obama 51%(+1), McCain 46%(unchanged)
Election 2008: Maine Presidential Election

Little Change in Maine, Obama by Five

Saturday, October 04, 2008

While Barack Obama has lengthened his lead over John McCain in many states over the past few weeks, little has changed in Maine.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Maine voters—conducted October 2--finds Obama with 51% of the vote and McCain with 46%. That’s virtually identical to the results from mid-September when Obama up by four.

Both men are viewed favorably by 55% of voters.

(Want a free daily e-mail update? If it's in the news, it's in our polls).

With the economy as the top issue of Election 2008, just 10% of voters in Maine rate the U.S. economy as good or excellent while 60% say it’s in poor shape. Just 4% say economic conditions are getting better while 83% say things are getting worse.

1. Nice
I also saw somewhere that he's up in Nevada by 4. I'd love to see those numbers go up even more.

2. Maybe we've all made our minds up already? I've seen two McCain signs in
local yards, one paired with a Collins one. But that was all. Mind you, I don't get out much and rarely travel different routes.

Going to Ellsworth tomorrow. I will let you know if any new signs besides the "Don't Vote" one have cropped up.

4. McSame/Palin(comparison) Are MORE Than Welcome...
...to piss away as much of their dwindling cash here as they'd like.

We are one of the few states that gave John Kerry a wider margin of victory in 2004 than we did to Al Gore in 2000. Even though McSame thinks the fundamentals of the economy are strong and that we've thrived under the moron, WE know that things are CRAPPY!

He has as much chance of winning here as Jean Claude Van Damme has of winning an Oscar.

PEACE!

5. RE: Maine
I live in Waldo County Maine, one of the more conservative counties in Maine.....There is nothing but McCain Palin signs...I saw not one Obama sign on my way to town this morning....I do think Obama has a strong base here in Maine...but voters can be conservative up here...we must NOT let up..and think that Maine is locked in for Obama....We must keep up the work up here...Our Belfast Office in Waldo County is very organized but a McCain office opened up less than a month ago just a block from the Obama office....
