The Daily Fix: A Compilation of All the Polls Released Today and Where Things Stand - 10/3/08
Edited on Fri Oct-03-08 06:19 PM by hnmnf
I'll keep this up for a few more days if nobody responds. I hope to keep this up everyday until Nov 4th.

To the Polls!

There were 12 polls released today between National and State

National Polls

Kos/R2K: Obama 51(unchanged), McCain 40(unchanged)
Rasmussen: Obama 51(unchanged), McCain 44(unchanged)
Hotline: Obama 48(+1), McCain 42(unchanged)
GWU: Obama 49(unchanged), McCain 46(+2)
Gallup: Obama 49(+1), McCain 42(-1)

RCP Average: Obama 49.2(+.2), McCain 43.4(+.1) (RCP is selective in their polling and doesnt include the Kos poll)

Pollster Average: Obama 49.6(+.7), McCain 42.6(-.1)

State Polls

Minnesota
SUSA: McCain 47, Obama 46...clearly an outlier

New Hampshire
Rasmussen: Obama 53(+6), McCain 43(-6)
St. Anselm: Obama 49, McCain 37

New Hampshire looks to be moving away from a tossup and into the Obama column

North Carolina
Elon: Obama 38.9, McCain 38.8

There was some misinformation posted here as well as pollster and TPM about this poll saying Obama was up 44-42, but that was just a stat for Obama on the economy. This poll says the race is tied here.

Pennsylvania
Morning Call: Obama 50(unchanged), McCain 40(-1)

Washington
Rasmussen: Obama 53(+4), McCain 43(-4)

Nevada
Rasmussen: Obama 51(+5), McCain 47(-2)

Those are the polls out today with all but one showing good numbers and movement towards Obama

And a random other poll shows that last months range of NH rasmussen polls were all wrong. Shaheen has pulled into a 5 point lead after being down 7 points to sununu last month...though it appears that last month's poll was just an outlier.

8. The impact of campaign events is rarely seen less than four days after it occurs.
By Monday we'll know what her effect truly was.

9. Nice to see WA moving into solid blue again.
The polls showing it as close here were obvious outliers. This is Obama country.

12. One correction
The St. Anselm poll in NH has Obama leading 49-37.
Also, this bit of good news:

MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) – A new poll by the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College shows Democratic Senate candidate Jeanne Shaheen leading Republican Sen. John Sununu by a healthy margin.
Forty-nine percent of the 832 likely voters surveyed said the prefer Shaheen. Thirty-five percent picked Sununu.
One percent said they would vote for Libertarian Ken Blevins while 15 percent were undecided.
SRBI Research in New York conducted the telephone poll between Sept. 25-30. The sampling error was plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.

14. One Stop Results...
Thank you so much for gathering all of this information and posting the results. It's great to see the daily polls in one place because some of us (me) would have to search the 'Internets' far and wide and still not find all the ones you listed.

Please keep it up!
