5. I believe Obama/Biden may do better up here
than many expect, despite Palin on the ticket. She's squandered a lot of the good will that Alaskans felt toward her with her abysmal performance in the Troopergate matter. We can't wait for her to come back...she's got some 'splainin' to do.

6. Bigtime - especially among Democrats and Independents.
Edited on Fri Oct-03-08 04:05 PM by Blue_In_AK
Since August 29, her favorability rating has gone from 60% to 30-something among Democrats and from 82% to 60-something among Independents. Republicans still love her, 95%. Those results are just generally speaking, not necessarily asking whether she's qualified to be VP. I think the results would be even more negative toward her if the poll question was asked in that way.

7. Gov. Palin is a Sociopath, charming,viscious, inept & corrupt .
Alaskans need to mount a Recall Petition & toss her out. She is corrupt & inept. The vetting process of her becoming Gov. must have been almost non existent. Her abuses while Gov. have been ignored until recently. The spotlight now has revealed her unethical & perhaps criminal actions as Gov. She screwed up by accepting the VP position that is way beyond her level & has brought about scrutiny of her as Mayor & Gov. She is unfit to be Gov., much less VP or possibly Pres. of the USA

9. In Alaskans' defense

Sarah looked SO much better as compared to her predecessor, Frank Murkowski, who at the time had the lowest approval rating of any governor in the country. She did come to us with a reputation for having stood up to the good old boys of the Republican Party establishment here at a time when the FBI investigation into the corruption in Juneau was just coming to light. Wasillans also were very tight-lipped about any issues they had with her as mayor. We honestly didn't know a lot of the things that have been revealed in the past month.

I didn't vote for her, of course, but her time as governor has not been all that bad. She didn't force her social conservatism on us, and she worked well with the bipartisan majority in the legislature. All the stories coming out now are as shocking to us as they are to everybody else.
