I can only imagine how LIVID Palin must make her. Not only are Palin's views archaic and downright frightening -- but she has been the WORST thing to happen to women in politics in... a long time. Maybe ever. I'm a female scientist, so i understand a bit of what it takes to "make it" in a career that is still a boys' club. Last night all i could think of was Hillary, Dianne Feinstein, Barbara Boxer, hell even Olympia Snowe and Kay Bailey Hutchinson -- women who have been WORKING THEIR BUTTS OFF, spending years and even decades learning, debating, actively furthering themselves and paving the way for future female politicians to be taken SERIOUSLY. And along comes this neophytic nymphette with her cue cards and regurgitated talking points and cutesy folksy winky bullshit non-answers. She is an unmitigated disaster and an embarrassment to serious, intelligent feminists (male and female) everywhere. I can only hope that five weeks from now she is back in Alaska, facing trial and fading to a distant memory, only present in our lives as the butt of Quayle-style jokes.
