PALIN WINS BIG WITH A REAGAN-LIKE FLAIR
Really. I'm series!!1!1

Last night I fell asleep reading some FR comments about the debate. Apparently, Palin beat Biden in the debate last night. Golly - who knew?

I've collected some choice comments to prove it:

  • I'd like to see any man try and debate for 90 minutes while standing in heels like that. They'd be reduced to a blubbering puddle in the first 5 minutes.

  • Now Joe Biden has to go home and explain to all his friends how he got his butt kicked by a girl. By a girl wearing glasses, a dress, and great looking high heeled pumps and she made him cry.

  • She refused to have her answers dictated to her by either Biden or Ifill. She held her own against a lifetime politician and WON

  • Let’s put it this way — Fred Thompson and Rudy said it was the best appearance in a debate they ever saw so I am in GREAT company with my analysis of the debate.

  • “Luntz’s group on Fox had an immediate and very favorable response to her.”
I saw that. And I flipped to CNN (unfortunately) immediately afterwards and saw Soledad O’Brien with a similar crowd. They had exactly the opposite reaction — they all thought Biden won the debate. I’m more inclined to give Fox the benefit of the doubt, but it shows you just how biased CNN is.
  • I think the SNL crowd better leave her alone now.

  • She set the foundation and now watch McCain build the house. This race is now McCain’s after tonight. She was amazing.

  • Letterman and Leno both have made funny jokes about Palin’s performance in the debate. These opinions were presented at 5:00 this afternoon. I predict they will both try to get Sarah as a guest...but will be required to make an apology first. ;o)

  • BLESSED BE THE NAME OF THE LORD. AND LORD, GOD, PLEASE HELP, CAUSE SARAH TO SAY SOME THINGS IN CLOSING THAT ARE ABSOLUTELY AUTHENTIC TO HER AND AUTHENTIC TO YOUR PRIORITIES AND WHICH WILL ABSOLUTELY BE RIVETING, CONVINCING, IMPRESSIVE TO AT LEAST 75% OF THOSE WATCHING. In Jesus’ Name.

  • I love, love, love the red shoes with her black suit. Sassy and bold!

  • Sarah, The Great Communicatress

See? I guess we were wrong.

1. The Peggy Noonan school of political analysis.
Hey, she performed well, and didn't either break down, spin out or otherwise fling poo. And what a hottie! She wins!

7. Why doesn't Peggy repeat her honest off-mike assessment of Palin?

God is only good for at least 75%? Now that's faith we can believe in.

14. "She refused to have her answers dictated to her by either Biden or Ifill"
Meaning: She couldn't stay on topic; she couldn't match her pre-determined answers with the topics effectively; she didn't follow the pre-determined and agreed upon debate format; she has no depth of understanding on ANY of the topics covered... need I continue?

23. How sickening that was!
We have a woman running for high office... sadly, there are dozens of more qualified female Republicans out there... I'd be gnawing at my own flesh about now if I were one of them!

Edited on Fri Oct-03-08 12:44 PM by Heather MC
are you kidding she gave them so much new material hell I could right the skit

Tina Fey, does all this winking and blowing kisses to Gwen Ifill, then Tina and Gwen end up making out in the end.

I know have the debate on a baseball field, Gwen tosses the ball, Palin (Tina) swings and misses
Gwen encourages her to run all the bases anyway. Gwen and Tina end up making out in the end.

Or they just put together a steady stream of all her odd facial ticks. and every time they go to commercial they run that clip.

25. Yes, even if she did ok last night, people are still going to think of Tina Fey when they see Palin.
They still do Bill Clinton jokes on SNL,so you know they won't stop making fun of her.
