I'm torn, but I'm guessing that's the last we'll see of Palin for the campaign.

Even though any objective observer would call it a Biden blow-out, she did exceed the lowest expectations in history and probably stopped the bleeding, i.e., the base is less inclined to be embarrassed of her -- even if the rest of us still are.

What this probably means is that she'll spend the next 32 days doing nothing but scripted stump speeches, with the occasional softball interview from some right-wing tool. It sucks that there isn't likely to be any more Youtube moments (although with her, anything's possible) we finally won't have to look at or hear her much anymore. Also, by retreating into the right-wing shadows, it puts the emphasis more on McCain for the duration of the race, which is always a good thing for our side.

1. Sadly, you are probably right; unless the media clamors for more access
The media needs to start making noise about Palin's being kept from public scrutiny.

2. This is the lasting impression they want people to have of Palin..
They don't want to screw this up. She won't do anymore interviews unless there are a TON of pre-conditions (ie she knows the questions way before hand, and they're with a journalist who is "Palin Friendly").

So, I don't want to see anymore interviews with her.. because they'll just make her look far better then she really is. The only way McCain let's her out of the house is if he knows where she's going, who she'll be with, and what time she'll be home (way before curfew).

3. Troopergate my rear it's ugly head, Putin-like, over Palin...
since a judge ruled just yesterday against Republican at temps to stall the investigation. If Palin comes out looking bad, it may be another bad-news distractions for the McCain/Winky campaign. It could potentially kill it is she looks bad enough.

4. Agreed, she'll do the Hannity's and Rush's of the world
and stay out of anything else unscripted.

There's no way they risk another Couric debacle, and if the media complains they will contain to whine that the MSM is "censoring" her.

Doesn't matter much, only a major Obama gaffe at this point can really upend things anymore IMO, and I think the damage was done with her already.

5. No, you forgot about the wedding
It will be so exciting! :sarcasm:

Will she wear her hair up or down? What dress will the mother of the bride wear? Some fashion statement from Paris or an off the rack dress from Walmart to show she's a Joe Sixpack bridal mom?

8. Why? Clearly if Palin outperformed Biden, why would they hide her?
She's obviously ready for the big time now! :sarcasm:

9. If she's going to continue to avoid taking questions from the press, they
should return the favor by refusing to air her stupid speeches.
