How DARE Sarah Palin bring Joe Biden's son into the debate last night!

And then, she dared to compare the McCain-Gramm Financial crisis to The Holocaust by invoking the phrase, "Never Again" repeatedly.

If a Republican had done this, the media would be all over them for it.

1. Huh?
Palin brought up Biden's son and dead wife? I don't think so...

3. She used his son in Iraq to attack him for "not supporting the troops."
And then she said something about his wife's "reward being up in Heaven."

6. She was talking about his current wife, that her support for teachers
had earned her a reward in heaven, which I thought was completely bizarre since, according to her beliefs, his first wife is already in heaven.

10. That's correct.
And I agree it was an odd thing to say, given the circumstances. What was more disturbing was her complete refusal to respond to Biden's comments about his first wife/sons when he got choked up. She completely ignored it, and launched into another memorized talking point.

11. Of course, in the teaching community, "getting our reward in heaven"
is a comment on low teacher salaries.

8. She meant his current wife, who is a school teacher. It was a faux pas
considering the death of his first wife, and I think she caught it as it went out of her mouth. That was one of the things I would like to re-watch the debate for. My husband and I were talking about it last night, she made that comment and then you could see her get a flash of an 'oh shit' look on her face.

And I think we should dispense with the manufactured outrage. Leave it to the GOP.
