In the debate last night, both Sarah Palin and Joe Biden took to the court with spirit. But at the end of round two, neither one had scored the winning goal. Every time Palin tried to judo throw Biden's experience, he'd counter with a three point attempt, even if it seldom made it into the net.
In this years Presidential marathon, neither Obama or McCain has pitched a perfect game, and McCain's Hail Mary passes have hardly scored any runs. So many looked on to the vice presidential candidates to hit the hay-maker that could have ended this horse race. But even when one seemed to be set up for the free kick, the other would pass them in turn three, and both would be back to square one.
So with little more than a month remaining, the two will again lace up their gloves, go out onto the ice, and charge the hoop. Both hoping it is THEY who will go up 30-love, and take home the golden glove.
...fun with mixing sports analogies. :P
