She wasn't debating last night - she was reciting
Her trainers picked out 10-15 topics they knew would be covered and they had her memorize those lines. All that 'folksy' talk wasn't Sarah being Sarah but her reciting the lines complete with cutie coined phrases and a wink here and there.

And when Gwen asked the questions she wasn't sure which answer to recite she went back to a previous question and started reciting for those again.

That's what Sarah Palin learned to do at Debate camp - RECITE

2. "There you go again Joe".......When she delivered that Raygun line
I could tell she was depending on her cue cards too much. She put her journalistic babbling skills to work, and it showed.

4. I think there were many attempts to equate her with Reagan
I think the Say It Ain't Joe line is specifically why she asked him up front if she could call him Joe? It was the only time she did. And then said, There you go again.

She also said, Gov. is not the solution the problem, Gov. is the problem.

And she then referenced him several times and quoted him directly.

Maybe the idea was - it was Reagon's charisma and charm that got him over the credibility hump - his movie star appeal. I think they were trying to recreate it with her.

5. she dropped cliche after cliche
without answering ANY questions.

Also someone should have told her you don't get to make up your own rules in a debate.

8. Why in the world are they permitted to have notes at a debate?
That surprised me too. At the same time I also noticed, at the beginning of the debate, that Biden was reading from notes too and it bothered me that he wasn't making eye contact. He stopped doing that after the first few questions thank goodness.

9. And idiot Gwen never called her on it.
That, plus that awful goddamn voice of Palin, really pissed me off.
