Heard just now on CBS: "Joe Biden looked Presidential; Sarah Palin looked mayoral."
Great line. The CBS "body language" consultant (don't know his name) said that as his closing line.

Despite all the furious spinning re: Palin in the corporate media this morning, I think the post-debate polls showing Biden the winner by a 2:1 or 3:1 margin says it all. And my guess is that Sarah's flirting with the camera turned off many more people than it swayed.

Sarah Palin: the "bull-hockey" mom at the end of the bar, winking at all the Joe Six-Packs.

4. I agree. But, again, the corporate media was desperate to say something nice about her.

5. She sounded "PTA-ish"--I'll grant her that!
Biden, on the other hand, had much more command of the subject matter and a much better grasp of the facts.

23. In New England - a lot of small towns don't have mayors
They have a board of Selectmen & Selectwoman, and one person is voted First Selectman/woman, and they end up heading the board.

My town of 16,000 is run by the town council - there is no mayor. And, make no mistake, it is a TOWN, not a city like they call Wasilla.

3. That's totally it. She looked like a small town mayor with an overinflated ego.
She ought to be cutting the ribbon at a shopping mall opening, not a heartbeat away from the presidency.

18. She balanced the Wasilla budget like Bush balanced our national budget.
No wonder Rethugligans embrace red as their party's color -- it just doesn't look good on our governmental budgets.

15. No Plain looked dumb
We don't need another Bush in the Whitehouse. Yes she didn't run off the stage but might as well she did because obviously she could not comprehend the questions that were being asked and kept reciting her notes. Her voice cracked and at times she was searching her notes for answers. I see no difference with her performance and the Katie interview. She is definitely not ready and should not have been chosen.
The republicans are grasping at straws.

... wink, wink, wink.' That sums up her performance." That was from a panel of women.

My guess is that a large number of undecided women were disgusted by her behavior, and a large number of undecided men --- once their glands calmed down --- would not want to take her home to meet the wife.

Lots of Little Miss Sweetie-Pie to the camera. She WAS flirting. The smiles, the winking, the cutesy little cock of the head ever-so-slightly to the side. For heaven's sakes, this wasn't trawling for a prom date.

Didn't fool me for an instant.
