Should Obama ask Brokaw to step aside for debate?
Seeing how Tom Brokaw is "such good friends with John McCain and he is in contact with the campaign daily" should he be moderating the upcoming debate? I personally think it is a conflict of interest. There was so much flack about Gwen Ifill and her upcoming book that includes material on Barack Obama, that Obama asking for a different moderator is justifiable.

The McCain campaign said on Wednesday that they did not have a problem with Ifill being the moderator. Thursday morning, McCain did another flipflop and said that he wished he had asked for another moderator.

If Obama asked for another moderator and the McCain campaign complained, Obama could turn it around and say that "It was your prerogative to ask for another moderator. To say that you wished you had asked for another but didn't just shows that you once again have used bad judgment. We need a President that can make rational decisions and have good judgment. Once again John McCain has proven that he lacks the proper judgment to be President."

He shoots. He scores.
:woohoo:

7. Nah
Brokaw is just trying to prevent McCain from doing that by appearing to be amiable to McCain. If anything, I think it's a trap for McCain.

8. Obama should ask for subtitles, so he can understand the moderator's garbled questions...

I don't know what Brokaw's affliction is. It looks like Bells Palsy has paralyzed half his face. I keep expecting him to drool on himself.

Whatever it is, it's getting tough to understand him.

10. Obama made it through that hideous debate moderated by
George Stephanopolous and Charlie Gibson. I think he can handle Brokaw.

13. No. But sneak in a snark about a question that appears loaded or his connection with McCain.
