The Palin Wink - doesn't a wink mean you're lying?
I didn't see that part of the debate so I don't know what she was saying when she winked, but isn't a wink often used to say "haha, I'm just saying that, but between you and I, we both know it's a lie..."

Is that the context she was doing it in?

1. I was telling my wife that tonight a wink is something you do to let your audience
know you are both in on the "joke" or the "bullshit" at hand.
