My take on the VP debate, Palin = McSame's Cheerleader!
Edited on Thu Oct-02-08 11:36 PM by texpatriot2004
I watched the whole thing, just like many of you did and it seemed to me that Palin was acting as McSame's cheerleader. Rah, Rah McCain...blah, blah, blah. Lots of rhetoric and no substance. No surprise there. I was very proud of Senator Biden. I think he kept his composure, he made very specific points, he strongly stated the plans of an Obama/Biden Presidency. I loved his response to Palin's remark that she wants expanded legislative powers for the VP, Biden said, "Cheney has been the most dangerous VP in the history of the United States." Then he went on to say that the Cheney stance regarding VP powers were "bizarre" and not Constitutional and that Cheney has taken this stance to expand their ideology about the unitary executive powers.

It seemed that she memorized catchy "folksy" phrases but I am not convinced that she has any true comprehension of the complex issues before us. Palin is NOT qualified!

Biden, on the other hand, did an excellent job IMO.

One last after thought, Biden, because he offered specific points in his answers, because of his experience, and probably because of his style he did not come across as Obama's cheerleader the way that she came off as McCain's. Of course, Biden knows what he is talking about and his answers had substance, he wasn't just repeating the "Obama's great" theme in a variety of ways the way that Palin did for McSame.

1. I told my roommates that she reminded me of
a cheerleaders' mom. Or maybe a pageant mom.

4. She never did defend the fact that Mccain adheres to just about every Bush policy, she didn't
did she?

Biden did great! But Palin/Mccain=Cheney/Bush = 4 more years of the same, and much worse.

8. She did a lot more campaigning than debating.
Actually, she did no debating. She just parroted all the stuff she learned all week, like cramming for a final when you have not studied all semester.

9. She did cram but I don't think she has any comprehension of
what she studied...as is usually the case when you cram instead of studying all semester.

10. Yes, pure memorization. That's why she had 'right answers' in 'wrong places.'
I just hope middle America saw through it. I hope they did not buy into her false confidence and 'apparent' knowledge, because she has none! She needs to be on the stage or something where acting belongs.
