19. she was trying to remember her lines
but I was touched and very moved. I believe he teared up and can't imagine anybody not having empathy for such a tragedy.

20. She didn't stop, don't forget her statement about his current wife? "her reward would be in heaven"
Edited on Thu Oct-02-08 11:55 PM by vaberella
All I could say beyond her "shout out" was WTF? Who gives her the damn right?! Who gives her the right to even comment on such a thing? She's evil, a macabre bitch.

4. His recovery was excellent, too
Edited on Thu Oct-02-08 11:00 PM by eleny
He turned his experience right back to ordinary Americans and their troubles.

It was a tough thing for him to talk about. But it sure shaved the ice off his 36 years in Washington D.C.

And that contrasted well with Palin's high school cheer leader attitude. Biden is one of us - he doesn't need to beat us over the head with cuteness - he just got real. People can feel more for his experience than identify with her phoniness.

7. Joe is a real person, Palin is a robotic talking point
She was so confused and flustered after he talked about his background, she went back to her talking points but she was a little unsure of what to do.

He doesn't knock her but shows he's human, not Just Another Man Who Could Never Understand.

********************************************
Look, I understand what it's like to be a single parent. When my wife and daughter died and my two sons were gravely injured, I understand what it's like as a parent to wonder what it's like if your kid's going to make it.

I understand what it's like to sit around the kitchen table with a father who says, "I've got to leave, champ, because there's no jobs here. I got to head down to Wilmington. And when we get enough money, honey, we'll bring you down."

I understand what it's like. I'm much better off than almost all Americans now. I get a good salary with the United States Senate. I live in a beautiful house that's my total investment that I have. So I -- I am much better off now.

But the notion that somehow, because I'm a man, I don't know what it's like to raise two kids alone, I don't know what it's like to have a child you're not sure is going to -- is going to make it -- I understand.

I understand, as well as, with all due respect, the governor or anybody else, what it's like for those people sitting around that kitchen table. And guess what? They're looking for help. They're looking for help. They're not looking for more of the same.

I was predicting that Edwards wouldn't crack the top three, but Biden would.

I am still wondering why that didn't happen.

18. In one word - realignment -
in the caucuses when an attendee's first choice wasn't viable folks moved to the top choices - those were Obama/Edwards/Clinton. Had the supporters of Richardson/Biden/Dodd/Kucinich joined together I think Biden would have moved up. Ah well - past is past - he's kicking ass as our soon to be VP.

22. in front of my friends...
I cried. I was hoping he would not have to go there. But when he talks about it it is not theatrical like "cold hearted fuck face" spouting her memorized lines. It is genuine and touches the hearts of anyone who has lost a special member of their family. She is so FAKE and EVIL!

Biden was my primary pick.. .

So glad I have DU to come to.

Donated $300 to BO tonight.

Biden CRUSHED her! Ignore the msm

Love you all.

Michael
